Chicago Yacht Club High School Great Lakes Championship

LOCATION: Chicago Yacht Club Belmont Station
BOATS: Double-handed division - 420's, BYO, limited charter boats available Single-handed division - BYO Laser Radial

The Regatta will be governed by the 1997 - 2000 Racing Rules of Sailing, the prescriptions of US SAILING, the Procedural Rules of the Interscholastic Sailing Association, this notice of race and the sailing instructions.

FORMAT: A full team shall be comprised of a skipper and crew (alternate optional) for A division (double-handed); a skipper and crew (alternate optional) for B division (double-handed) and a single-handed sailor. Only full teams will be eligible for the permanent trophy. Full teams will be given preference in boat reservations. Second priority for boat reservations will be given to schools which enter a complete double-handed team, i.e. skipper and crew for both A and B division.

Registration will take place from 8:30 a.m. - 9:30 am. on the morning of the event.

ENTRY FEE: $12.00 per sailor.
SKIPPERS' MEETING: 10:00 a.m.
LUNCH: Will be provided.
AWARDS: First through Third for each team in the double-handed division; First through Third for each sailor in the single-handed division. The winner of the perpetual trophy will be determined by combining the points from the double-handed division and the single-handed division. The team with the lowest combined point total will be declared the winner of the perpetual trophy.
RACES: Minimum of three per division (i.e. Three A, three B, three single-handed.)
