Leader, Coach or Asst. Coach for one or
more of the following events; 1999 ISAF Youth Worlds
July 1-10, 1999, Finland www.uib.es/universiada99
1999 World University
Games July 1-14, 1999, Palma de Mallorca,
Spain
1999 Pan Am Games July 18-31, 1999,
Gimli, Canada http://www.panamgames.org/
1999 World Team Racing
Championship July 26-31, 1999, Dublin,
Ireland

1. A team leader
and at least one coach will be chosen to
lead the US Team to the 1999 ISAF Youth
Worlds. Classes are 420, Laser,
Radial, and IMCO. Selection will be made
by the US SAILING Youth Committee,
chaired by James Appel, jappel@edgenet.net. Expenses are typically
covered.
2. Sailing is
included in the World University Summer
Games for the first time in 1999, and the
US will enter a team. Skip Whyte
will be named Team Leader, and at least
one additional coach will probably be
named, depending on the size of the US
Team. Classes are Laser, Europe,
470 M&W, IMCO M&W. Selection of
coach by the USOSC. Expenses only
may be covered.
3. Pan Am Games,
Hal Haenel (hal@hollywoodcenter.com) will be Team Leader, Gary
Bodie (garybodie@aol.com) will be Head
Coach, Carl Eichenlaub will be the
boatwright, and one additional coach may
be named. Classes are Lightning,
Laser, Europe, IMCO, Snipe, Finn,
Sunfish, and Hobie16. Selection of
coach by USOSC. Expenses only may
be covered.
4. A Team Leader
may be chosen to lead the US Teams at the
ISAF Team Race Worlds. Team Leader
to be selected by the US SAILING Team
Racing Committee, Brad Dellenbaugh, Chair
(dellenbaugh@compuserve.com) Expenses only may be
covered.
